Located on the east side of Sparta, this standard deck girder bridge crosses Farmers Valley Creek.
Built in 1911, the bridge consists of a pair of deck girder spans set onto concrete substructures. These girders are standard design.
This style bridge was common for crossing creeks, rivers and roads; due to the ease of construction and maintenance.
Overall, the bridge appears to be in fair to good condition, with some spalling on the substructures.
The author has ranked this bridge as being locally significant, due to the common design. Currently, it serves as an unnamed trail.
The photo above is an overview. Unfortunately, the bridge is very overgrown.
